Prevent Corrosion With Quality Coatings

I work in the oil and gas industry. My business pipes need to be corrosion-resistant and durable since a great deal of oil and gas flow through them daily.

Corrosion prevention has always been a hot issue in our industry. At first, we used to electroplate the internal surfaces of pipes to prevent corrosion. However, it didn’t seem to be the best solution for the problem. Electroplating turned out to be toxic and, consequently, environmentally dangerous. Apart from this, it cost a huge sum of money, which we could hardly afford. We also considered cathodic protection, but it didn’t meet our expectations.

However, our boss has recently discovered InnerArmor coating. It seems to be the way to go.

InnerArmor coatings have a number of benefits. First of all, they guarantee an extended service life. Second, they reduce energy use to a minimum. Third, they are cost-efficient and environmentally friendly. They protect surfaces both externally and internally.

InnerArmor coatings prevent corrosion of pipes, tappets, cylinders, and piston rings, forming a steady barrier against salt water, chemicals, and acids.

In order to make firm abrasives, InnerArmor makes use of CVD diamond. A CVD diamond, which is a synthetic diamond, is endowed with huge potential. It is characterized by its hardness, strength, transparency, a nd resistivity. Apart from being used as abrasives, CVD diamonds are used as wear-resistant coatings and heat sinks.
Since adopting InnerArmor coatings, we’ve noticed significant improvements in our pipeline performance. Downtime due to maintenance has dropped, and inspection results have been consistently positive. Unlike older solutions that simply slowed corrosion, these coatings actively block corrosive agents at the molecular level. This has helped us extend operational life across multiple systems, saving costs on repairs and replacements.

Another advantage we’ve seen is how versatile these coatings are. We’ve started applying them not only to pipes but also to valves, couplings, and internal components in high-wear zones. Their ability to bond directly with metal surfaces—without altering part dimensions—means we can use them even in tight-tolerance systems.

In an industry where safety, cost, and environmental responsibility must align, coatings like these are essential. They help us meet strict regulatory standards while supporting our company’s sustainability goals. Unlike traditional solutions, they do not require toxic chemicals or hazardous procedures during application.

For any operation dealing with corrosive environments, whether offshore, refining, or transport, investing in high-performance coatings like InnerArmor isn’t just a smart move—it’s essential for long-term reliability and safety. As technology advances, materials like CVD diamond coatings will likely become the standard in high-demand industrial applications.
